Engagement Party!

It's about time I posted again! 

I've been neglecting my blog lately.

Sorry, blog.

My amazing mother, sisters, and Alix, threw me and Jon an engagement party.

It.

Was.

Incredible.

The cake!

Everything was perfectly detailed.

A table full of pictures greeted the guests as they walked in, then onto a plethora of snacks, drinks (including a margarita machine!), and Moe's catering.

There were monogrammed paper napkins, grey and white striped straws, a picture montage of our relationship, and cake pops for favors!

It was truly unforgettable.

Of all the pictures taken that night, here are my personal favorite.

I call these: "View from a 5-year-old"

I want to thank everyone for coming out to our party, you made it so special. 

Of course, the pressure is on to make sure the Wedding is just as much fun!

Friendship

After college, my friends moved across the universe.  

I mean, we weren't all in driving distances of each other anymore.  

Same thing.

Even with great technology like Face Time and Skype, it's still rare for me to pick up my phone to talk.

I usually text or e-mail or facebook.

  Calling several people with endless topics to discuss, I could end up talking for hours!

So I put it off....

But the other day, I read the best advice on A Cup of Jo. 

5-minute phone calls!

If nothing else, just hearing my friend's voices can make my day!

Who's in?! 

Knoxville: Round Two!

Well, I went back to Knoxville this weekend, but this time I went back to college too. My college roommates Alix and Margaret flew all the way from the West Coast.

Alix and I drove from Nashville and I had to go straight to my favorite pizza place.

Cool Beans!  

We had to wait in line (ugh!) so we decided they should change the name to just Beans. It became Cool again once we got inside.

I never would have made it through college with out these two!
